The Postgraduate Programme in Applied Informatics is a redirected programme of study.
Its main purpose is to train, in the science of Digital Technology, graduates from departments outside the field of Information Technology, in order to fill the rapidly growing number of jobs requiring digital skills.
The programme follows the international standards of countries that have adopted similar approaches, such as European countries, the USA, Canada and others.
To scientists, graduates who do not come from the field of Information and Communication Technology, giving them the opportunity to change direction in relation to their undergraduate studies, focusing on the field of Information Technology and Digital Technology in general.
It is specifically designed to be attended by graduates of Humanities and Social Sciences.
In this way, the programme contributes to addressing the needs of the modern labour market for IT knowledge and skills, to the technological modernisation and progress of the country, while giving job prospects to graduates from schools where unemployment is observed.
Graduates of the Programme are scientists who will:
- acquire the necessary knowledge of information systems and technologies of telecommunication systems and networks.
- staff public organizations and private sector enterprises, which are characterized by a great and constantly increasing demand for executives with IT knowledge.
- ensure their scientific and professional development and careers and contribute creatively to development and/or research projects in the new digital era.
- develop skills that will make them competitive in a national and international environment.
- prepare for postgraduate studies at PhD level in cutting-edge disciplines.
The Assembly of the Department of Computer Science and Telematics, with a sense of social sensitivity and responsibility, decided to reduce the tuition fees for the academic year 2023-2024 to the amount of three thousand four hundred euros (3,400 €).
They are paid in instalments as follows:
A) Full-time studies:
Four hundred euros (€400) upon enrolment in the programme
One thousand five hundred and fifty euros (€1,500) on enrolment in the first semester
One thousand five hundred euros (1500€) when registering for the second semester
B) Part-time studies:
Four hundred euros (400€) upon enrolment in the programme
Seven hundred and fifty euros (750€) upon enrolment in the first semester
Seven hundred and fifty euros (750€) when registering for the second semester
Seven hundred and fifty euros (750€) when registering for the third semester
Seven hundred and fifty euros (750€) when registering for the fourth semester
